HUMAN MOVEMENT SPECIALIST
Wendy Shiga
PT, DPT, OCS - SGV & OC Clinics
Wendy PT, DPT is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and an orthopedic specialist with a growing interest in women’s health. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Nutrition from Chapman University, followed by her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from USC. Wendy’s passion for helping others has been a driving force throughout her career, fueled by her natural curiosity and a continuous desire to expand her knowledge to better serve her patients.
Wendy’s journey into healthcare began during her time as a high school athlete, where she experienced multiple injuries that sparked her interest in the rehabilitation process. This curiosity only grew as she continued her athletic career in college, playing for Chapman’s Women’s Basketball team. Her experiences as both an athlete and a coach deepened her commitment to helping others recover from injuries and return to the activities they love, pain-free.
While her foundation is in orthopedics, Wendy has recently developed a strong interest in women’s health and is actively working to expand her expertise in this area. She is dedicated to understanding and addressing the unique challenges women face in sports and fitness, with a focus on providing holistic care and improving quality of life.
Outside of the clinic, Wendy enjoys spending time at coffee shops, savoring delicious meals and sweets with friends, staying active at the gym, and rock climbing—both indoors and outdoors. She has a particular love for the Ariel Tramway in Palm Springs. On her days off, you’ll often find her climbing, exploring local crags, or taking a crag nap under the warm sun.
